PRINCIVE / FREE ONLINE RESUME EDITOR
Resume Editor.
Make the draft you have clearer.
Already have a resume? Paste its plain text and refine it right here. Review section headings, spot some vague phrases, and keep full control over every edit. No account, no AI-generated claims, and no resume upload.
This is a plain-text editing workspace, not an AI writer, job match assessment, or ATS scoring service.
PASTE / REVIEW / EDIT
Edit an existing resume, without starting over.
Paste text from a resume or type below. Review hints are mechanical prompts, not a quality score. Your words stay local to this browser tab.
No file upload, login or automated rewriting. The text you enter is not sent in analytics events.
EDITING VS OPTIMIZATION
Improve readability first. Then improve relevance.
Start with a readable master resume
Correct dates, fix typos, use recognizable headings and cut vague claims. Keep an untouched original for reference.
Edit the text above →Optimize for a target role family
Market Match is designed for broader role-family positioning. Select evidence that supports where you want to go without changing what actually happened.
Explore Market Match →Prepare for a specific opening
Perfect Match focuses on one opportunity and relevant, defensible accomplishments. Avoid unsupported claims or invented metrics.

STARTING FROM SCRATCH?
Build a draft before you edit.
Our free resume generator assembles your entered facts into a first draft. The free resume builder provides an open-ended outline. Both create plain text; this page focuses on editing an existing draft.
ATS PREPARATION
Readable isn't the same as guaranteed.
Use normal headings and check that names, roles and dates survive text extraction. An employer's actual system may behave differently. Try the ATS resume pre-check for separate guidance.
RESUME EDITOR FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this resume editor free?
Yes. The text editor is free and runs in your browser. You can paste and edit text, review basic structural hints, copy the result and download a .txt file without creating an account.
Is the editor powered by AI?
No. This local editor checks simple text patterns; it does not rewrite language with AI, evaluate qualifications or assign an ATS score. Princive offers separate app-based resume workflows.
Does this page upload or save my resume?
No. The editor does not upload, save or transmit your resume text. It remains in the current browser tab until you leave or clear the tab. The separate Princive app has its own privacy terms.
Can I upload a Word document or PDF?
This lightweight editor accepts pasted or typed plain text only and downloads a .txt file. Use a document editor to export the finished version to Word or PDF.
Will editing guarantee I pass an ATS?
No. Different employers use different systems. Conventional headings and readable text can help, but no tool can promise an ATS pass or interview. Verify what a real employer application extracts.
What is different from resume optimization?
Editing changes your wording and structure. Optimization considers the evidence and relevance for a target role family or particular job. Market Match and Perfect Match are separate Princive offerings.
